Funding

This website is funded by the Millennium Commission (lottery money) until 31 March 2000 under the Mind-Millennium Award Scheme.

Additional financial support received from the MSF Clerkenwell Branch (Amicus-MSF) is gratefully acknowledged.

It is hoped that if this project is successful and further funding arrangements can be put in place to extend the site over the next two or more years to include for example, such topics as:
  • studying and voluntary work on benefit
  • cognitive behavioural therapy
  • brief therapy
  • therapeutic interventions and trials with prescription drugs and homeopathic remedies
  • counselling and various ‘ talking therapies’
  • art therapy
  • sports therapy and other complementary / alternative therapies
  • therapeutic work for all / other disabilities
  • nature of impairment eg physical / invisible, connection / relationship with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and the Disability Rights Commission, which is to be set up in April 2000, changes in the law and comparative experiences from abroad.
